Wet n Wild Prismatic Lip Gloss in Boogie White Lights & Ring My Bellbottoms | Review & Swatches12/23/2016 Price: $2.99 * Buy At: Kmart * Size: 0.11 fl oz The Wet n Wild Prismatic Lip Glosses are a collection of four shades, presumably for the holiday season. Boogie White Lights is a sheer white with pastel purple reflect & Ring My Bellbottoms is a sheer gold. The glosses have a clear tube so that you can see the color inside and the applicator is long and flat. Both shades apply smoothly onto the lips--it does not become thick or gloppy at any point. The gloss is pretty sheer; building it up on the lips gives the pigmentation that you can see in my photos. It does not build up much further than that. So while it does look pretty on the lips alone, but I think these are better used on top of a lipstick to alter the color and finish. The Prismatic Glosses are pretty comfortable on the lips, and this is coming from someone who is not usually a fan of gloss. They feel thin on the lips and are not sticky. Boogie White Lights and Ring My Bellbottoms are pretty unique shades, so getting them at a drugstore price is great if you are a lippie collector like me. XOX ♥

Price: $5 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.6 fl oz The Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer in More Than I Could Give is a soft peachy pink with a glossy shine. The Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquers come in a small clear tube and have a typical doe foot applicator. Although it is given the name “lip lacquer”, I find it to pretty much just be a lip gloss. I really like the texture and formula of this product, it is super thin and does not feel sticky at all, even less than my favorite Nyx Butter Glosses. The formula is very comfortable on the lips, and would work great as a lip color to just toss in your bag for everyday wear. On the lips, More Than I Could Give has a really nice glossy shine and gives the lips a wet appearance. So, while I did not initially think that I would be a fan of this product, I actually really like it and will probably look into other shades! XOX ♥
Price: $5 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.06 fl oz The Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer in Nothing Like Anything is a warm reddish pink with a glossy finish. The Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquers come in a clear tube with a typical doe foot applicator. Although it is referred to as a “lip lacquer”, I find it to pretty much have the formula of a lip gloss. I love the texture and formula of this product, it’s super thin and does not feel sticky at all. The formula is very comfortable on the lips, and would work great as a lip color to just toss in your bag for everyday wear. On the lips, Nothing Like Anything has a really nice glossy shine, giving the lips a wet look. I would recommend this product to anyone that does not traditionally enjoy lipglosses, as I typically stay away from them as well. XOX ♥
Price: $3.49 * Buy At: Kmart * Size: 0.4 fl oz / 12 mL The LA Girl Glazed Lip Paint In Whisper is a pale neutral pink liquid lip color with a glossy finish. The LA Girl Lip Paints come in a squeeze tube and have an angled plastic applicator. I feel that the applicator makes it a bit difficult to get a precise application, so I prefer to use a lip brush with this product. The Lip Paints have a subtle minty scent, and although I really dislike mint, it isn’t too strong so I can wear the lip product just fine. Whisper, despite being a pale color, is super pigmented and looks very smooth and even on the lips. Although the product has the shine of a lip gloss, it does not feel like one on the lips, the formula feels rather thin and comfortable. Once the gloss fades, you are left with a satin finish liquid lipstick look, and it remains feeling comfortable on the lips. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Orangesicle is a bright red orange with a cream finish. The Nyx Intense Butter Glosses come with a typical doe foot applicator. They have very opaque color payoff, but they still maintain the shiny finish of a lipgloss. The formula is pretty comfortable on the lips, but not quite as comfortable as the original Butter Glosses. On the lips it has a medium thickness but is not sticky. While I do appreciate the intense pigmentation of this product, if I am wanting a statement lip, I will more likely go with a lipstick or matte liquid lipstick. However, Orangesicle could nicely be layered on top of an orange lipstick to add a bit of a sheen, or to a matte lipstick to add some moisture to the lips. XOX ♥
Price: $5 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Butter Gloss in Sugar Plum is a light cool toned purple gloss. Sugar Plum is a part of the new shades Nyx has just recently released. The Nyx Butter Glosses come in a colored tube that corresponds to the gloss color. They have a typical doe foot applicator. Sugar Plum is a bit more sheer and patchy than most of the other shades from the collection, but once you rub your lips together, the product evens out. I really love purple lip colors, and since this is a gloss, it is a more subtle way to wear the color. It also looks gorgeous layered over any lighter purple lip color. The Butter Glosses are very comfortable on the lips; they're really one of the only glosses that I can tolerate. They are not sticky at all and just feel nice and moisturizing. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Banana Split is a bright peachy orange with a cream finish. The Nyx Intense Butter Glosses come with a classic doe foot applicator. They have very intense color payoff, making them more like a liquid lipstick than a gloss. However, they still maintain the shiny finish of a lipgloss. The formula is quite similar to the original Butter Glosses, but I prefer the original ones just a little bit more. Banana Split is comfortable on the lips; it has a medium thickness and is not sticky. Since it is a gloss, it's not a super long lasting lip product, so I would keep it on hand for reapplication throughout the day. XOX ♥
Price: $5.00 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Butter Gloss in Gingersnap is a dark mauve brown with no shimmer or glitter. The Nyx Butter Glosses have a classic doe foot applicator and come in a plastic tube the same color as the gloss. The formula of the Butter Glosses is a bit on the thicker side, but it has a very smooth and comfortable texture on the lips. Gingersnap has pretty nice color payoff, but since it is a gloss it can be an easier way to wear a brown lip. The Butter Glosses have a sweet bakery scent, which I am not a huge fan of, but it does not linger. The color lasts on the lips for a couple hours, with the gloss of course disappearing first. It can begin to feel a bit sticky as it wears off, but that is typical with lip glosses. XOX ♥
Price: $5.00 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 8 mL The Nyx Butter Gloss in Red Velvet is a medium pink toned red gloss with no shimmer or glitter. The Nyx Butter Glosses come in small colored tubes with classic doe foot applicators. They have a sweet bakery scent, which a lot of people really like, but I am not a huge fan of it, although it doesn't linger too long. Red Velvet has a very smooth texture and feels very comfortable on the lips. I am someone that is easily irritated with lip glosses, and the Butter Glosses are one of the only glosses that I will wear. Red Velvet is very pigmented and gives the lips an almost opaque look. After a while, the color can tend to settle around the outlines of the lips, so I would keep this gloss with you for touch ups throughout the day. XOX ♥
Price: $6 * Buy At: Ulta * Size: 0.27 fl oz The Nyx Intense Butter Gloss in Tres Leches is a medium neutral pink with a cream finish. The Intense Butter Glosses come in a package very similar to the original Butter Glosses. They have a flat sponge applicator, different than the doe foot applicator of the regular Butter Glosses. I find the wand to be a bit flimsy, which makes application a bit trickier. Although these are still called glosses, they are basically a liquid lipstick and they are quite similar to the Nyx Xtreme Lip Creams that have been out for a while now. Tres Leches is very pigmented, so it takes a bit more time to apply. It has a smooth formula, but it doesn't quite glide onto the lips, which adds on to the application time. Being a gloss, Tres Leches has a glossy finish, but it isn't as glossy as the original Butter Glosses. XOX ♥
